Location: Acworth, GA (Greater Atlanta Market)

As our Design Studio Manager, you are a key member of the design and pre-construction team. You'll work closely with clients, leadership, estimators, and project managers to translate vision into detailed selections and specifications for custom homes and large-scale remodels.
This role is:
- Office-based (Acworth), Monday-Friday.
- Client-facing: you'll lead and participate in selection meetings and design presentations.
- Field-informed: you'll visit job sites as needed to verify dimensions, review installations, and ensure design intent is executed correctly.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead clients through the interior design process for custom homes and complex remodels, from concept through final selections.
- Your will be to lead a team of designers in addition to the rest. You will oversee the Design Manager and Designer Coordinator positions.
- Develop cohesive design concepts that align with client goals, architectural plans, and overall project vision.
- Prepare detailed selection schedules and specification documents for finishes, fixtures, lighting, cabinetry, hardware, plumbing fixtures, tile, flooring, and paint.
- Collaborate with estimators during pre-construction to ensure selections align with budget and allowances.
- Create mood boards, presentation materials, and visual aids to clearly communicate design direction.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to source materials, confirm lead times, and verify pricing.
- Review shop drawings and submittals to ensure alignment with design intent.
- Conduct site visits to verify dimensions, review installations, and resolve design-related field questions.
- Maintain organized documentation of all selections and revisions.
- Continuously refine internal processes, selection templates, and design workflows to improve efficiency and client experience.
Qualifications
- 10-15 years of proven experience as an Interior Designer in custom residential homes and/or large-scale remodeling.
- Experience working on high-end, custom residential projects (rather than volume or production housing).
- Strong understanding of residential construction methods and how design decisions impact budget and buildability.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and construction documents.
- Proficiency in design software (such as Rivet, SketchUp, AutoCAD, Chief Architect, or similar) and presentation tools.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and client presentation skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high standard for documentation accuracy.
- Comfort collaborating closely with builders, estimators, and project managers.
- Willingness and ability to perform site visits as needed (valid driver's license and reliable transportation required).
- Authorization to work in the United States.
Compensation & Benefits
- Employment type: Full-time, W-2, in-person
- Salary: $75,000 to $95,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Eligibility for a performance-based bonus in line with company policies.
- 401(k) plan.
- Mileage or vehicle allowance support for required site visits, as determined by company policy.
