As our Design Studio Manager, you are a key member of the design and pre-construction team. You'll work closely with clients, leadership, estimators, and project managers to translate vision into detailed selections and specifications for custom homes and large-scale remodels. This role is:<ul><li>Office-based (Acworth), Monday-Friday.</li><li>Client-facing: you'll lead and participate in selection meetings and design presentations.</li><li>Field-informed: you'll visit job sites as needed to verify dimensions, review installations, and ensure design intent is executed correctly.</li></ul> Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Lead clients through the interior design process for custom homes and complex remodels, from concept through final selections.</li><li>Your will be to lead a team of designers in addition to the rest. You will oversee the Design Manager and Designer Coordinator positions.</li><li>Develop cohesive design concepts that align with client goals, architectural plans, and overall project vision.</li><li>Prepare detailed selection schedules and specification documents for finishes, fixtures, lighting, cabinetry, hardware, plumbing fixtures, tile, flooring, and paint.</li><li>Collaborate with estimators during pre-construction to ensure selections align with budget and allowances.</li><li>Create mood boards, presentation materials, and visual aids to clearly communicate design direction.</li><li>Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to source materials, confirm lead times, and verify pricing.</li><li>Review shop drawings and submittals to ensure alignment with design intent.</li><li>Conduct site visits to verify dimensions, review installations, and resolve design-related field questions.</li><li>Maintain organized documentation of all selections and revisions.</li><li>Continuously refine internal processes, selection templates, and design workflows to improve efficiency and client experience.</li></ul> Qualifications<ul><li>10-15 years of proven experience as an Interior Designer in custom residential homes and/or large-scale remodeling.</li><li>Experience working on high-end, custom residential projects (rather than volume or production housing).</li><li>Strong understanding of residential construction methods and how design decisions impact budget and buildability.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and construction documents.</li><li>Proficiency in design software (such as Rivet, SketchUp, AutoCAD, Chief Architect, or similar) and presentation tools.</li><li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.</li><li>Excellent communication and client presentation skills.</li><li>Detail-oriented with a high standard for documentation accuracy.</li><li>Comfort collaborating closely with builders, estimators, and project managers.</li><li>Willingness and ability to perform site visits as needed (valid driver's license and reliable transportation required).</li><li>Authorization to work in the United States.</li></ul> Compensation &amp; Benefits<ul><li>Employment type: Full-time, W-2, in-person</li><li>Salary: $75,000 to $95,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.</li><li>Eligibility for a performance-based bonus in line with company policies.</li><li>401(k) plan.</li><li>Mileage or vehicle allowance support for required site visits, as determined by company policy.</li><li>Opportunity to grow with a respected, design-forward builder in the high-end residential market.</li></ul> Bradford Custom Homes &amp; Remodeling is an equal opportunity employer.
